What is Global Developmental Delay (GDD)?

 

Global Developmental Delay (GDD) is a general term used to describe a diagnosis of a child from birth to 18 years of age with a lower intellectual functioning than what is perceived as “normal”.  It if often accompanied by significant limited communication. About 1-3% of Australian Children are diagnosed with GDD1.
