Carmen is the Founder, Director and Principal Psychologist of Vida Psychology. She understands how challenging it can be to seek therapy and is committed to creating an environment that is both therapeutic and friendly, helping clients engage and build rapport through warmth and humour.

As a Board Approved Supervisor, Carmen brings extensive counselling experience across various settings including universities, hospitals and community health.

Her experience includes working with anxiety disorders, mood disorders, postpartum depression, eating disorders and couples.

Carmen has a special interest in perinatal health, supporting parents facing challenges relating to parenthood.

She tailors her therapeutic approaches to each client’s goals and needs, employing methods such as Interpersonal Therapy, Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy (ERP), Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Positive Psychology and Gottman Method.

When Carmen is not baking for family and friends, you’ll find her at the gym, socialising or even dancing tango.
