Fariha seeks to create a safe, non-judgmental and supportive therapeutic environment where clients feel genuinely heard and guided through the challenges that arise at different life stages and transitions. She is passionate about making a difference in people’s lives through her empathy, warmth, and compassion.
Fariha has a PhD in Psychology from India and has extensive experience with over 10 years working in private clinical settings, where she has provided effective therapeutic care to culturally diverse individuals with complex needs. Her practice is shaped by a diverse array of evidence-based approaches and perspectives, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, and Compassion Focused Therapy.
Fariha has valued the opportunity to work collaboratively with both adults and younger (children and adolescents) clients on a broad range of issues, including anxiety, grief, depression, trauma, parenting, adjustment difficulties, self-esteem, life transitions, and relationship difficulties (including assertiveness training). She also values the opportunity to support neurodiverse clients.
In her spare time, she enjoys going on nature walks, gardening, and cooking traditional food.
