Psychologist (Registered) – Child Therapy & Parenting Support
Helen is a nurturing and inquisitive psychologist with a genuine curiosity about why we think and behave the way we do. She creates a safe and supportive space where clients can express themselves freely, feel valued and heard, and work towards meaningful change.
With extensive experience in working with children and their families, Helen addresses a range of challenges including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, conflicts with family and friends, school refusal, and difficulties meeting behavioural expectations. She is also skilled in providing cognitive and educational assessments. Helen has a clinical interest in helping parents improve their connection with their children and supporting parents and prospective parents through issues such as infertility, adjustment to parenthood, differing parenting styles and parental separation. Helen’s practice is affirming of neurodiversity and non-traditional family structures.
Helen adopts a client-centered approach tailored to each individual’s specific needs and goals. Her therapeutic style integrates cognitive-behavioral, interpersonal, and play therapies, while also incorporating attachment and family systems theories. She utilises mindfulness, motivational, and narrative techniques, alongside behavioral modeling and strength-based practices, to foster positive change and enhance emotional wellbeing.
In her free time, Helen enjoys catching some sunshine while walking her dog or watching the latest series. She also dedicates time to volunteering, where she finds fulfillment in supporting and advocating for children and families in need.
