Learn How to be Carefree in Social Situations?

One in 10 Australians are likely to be affected by Social anxiety in their lifetime1.

Is constantly worrying about what people think of you getting in the way of freely socialising? It’s all the chatter in your head resulting in becoming quiet, shy, withdrawn, inhibited, nervous and at times this giving people the impression you’re disinterested or worse, arrogant?

If you can relate to this, you are likely to be experiencing Social Anxiety.

What is Social Anxiety?

Social Anxiety (also known as Social Phobia) is the fear of being negatively judged and evaluated by people.  Although is common, it will not disappear on its own. It requires therapeutic intervention.

Without professional help, Social Anxiety could worsen.  That little voice in your head is likely to become your ongoing ‘Coach’ instructing you on what and how you should interact and what you should say.  You are likely to become convinced you have to plan and rehearse every interaction and every conversation.

At Vida Psychology we take time to understand your Social Anxiety, triggers and what’s getting in the way of interacting with others freely.

How can we help you?

At Vida Psychology we understand Social Anxiety and know how you feel.  We have over 17 years of experience helping Australians with their social fears.  We take the time to listen how Social anxiety is impacting your life.  This allows us to gain a deeper understanding of the origins of your anxiety, triggers, patterns and barriers keeping you stuck and making it worse.  This then assists us in developing a tailored treatment plan especially written for you.
