You lack confidence and constantly second guess yourself. You don’t believe you can do anything right and let opportunities slip away. You don’t ask for things that are important to you as you don’t believe you deserve them. You become a people pleaser for fear of not being liked.
If you can related to this you may be experiencing Depression.
What is Depression?
In Australia on average, one in five women and one in eight men are likely to experience depression in their lifetime1.
Depression is a mental health condition affecting how people think and feel about themselves and the world around them. It can last for weeks, months or even longer.
Depression is not something you can just ignore and hope it’ll go away. If untreated it can have a detrimental impact in your life. Life could become overwhelming and a daily struggle. You could begin to withdraw from family and friends. You may begin to ask yourself “what’s the point of it all!” and even contemplate harming yourself.
At Vida we can help with the various types of depression such as:
- Major Depressive Disorder (MDD)
- Bipolar Affective Disorder (BAD)
- Antenatal Depression
- Postnatal Depression (PND)
- Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMD)
